About Us
“If I were not a physicist, I would probably be a musician. I often think in music. I live my daydreams in music. I see my life in terms of music.” Albert Einstein.
Everyone has a song or songs - and these can become the Soundtracks to My Life - songs that are always remembered, always there...
First of all, thanks for taking the time to come to the site. I hope that today finds you and yours happy and healthy.
This is a very, very new site so we are relying on people like you to kick-start it!
The aim of the site is to enable people to tell the story of songs or albums which have had an impact on their lives. I am a great fan of watching old episodes of music shows, not to mention trawling my back catalog of CDs (if you can remember them!) and sometimes a song comes on which makes my heart race. It takes me back to a particular moment or person in my life and all those memories come flooding back. Yet I only get to share that story with the person next to me – or no one at all if I happen to be on my own at the time.
What I hope that Soundtracks To My Life will do is encourage people to share their stories with the rest of the world and use the site as a repository for them. They could be stories which end ‘happily ever after’ or those which are profoundly sad. I would like the site to develop in to a huge archive of memories which people can access and read – while at the same time watching and listening to the songs.
So, do you have a particular song (or album even) which engenders specific and powerful memories and emotions? Can you share that story with the site’s readers?
Any and all stories are welcome!
Also, if you would like to share more than one story, please - feel free!
Where possible, I would appreciate it if your story could be over 200 words in length – but after that you can make it as long as you want. The ‘submit’ page on the site is ready and waiting for you! You can prepare your story in a word processor and copy and paste will work in to the form. If you prefer to you can email me with it directly at taliesyn30@aol.com. I will source the image and the video to accompany your story.
Although your name and location will appear with your story, please be reassured that I will never share your email or other details with any third party.
As an additional ‘carrot’, if you own or contribute to another site, I am more than happy to link to that site at the bottom of your story. As you may know, back links can be a powerful aid in terms of Search Engine Optimisation (SEO) and will help your own site become more visible in a search engine's “natural” or "organic" search.
I look forward (fingers crossed!) to reading your story in the near future.
Best regards
